Yang Jingnian
Yang Jingnian ( Chinese 杨敬 年 , Pinyin Yáng Jìngnián ; born October 17, 1908 in Miluo , Hunan , Chinese Empire ; † September 4, 2016 in Tianjin ) was a Chinese economist .
After a short time at the Whampoa Military Academy , he joined the Kuomintang in the late 1920s . He studied economics from 1932 to 1936 at Nankai University in Tianjin and then worked in research. After studying abroad for three years, he received his doctorate in 1948 from the University of Oxford . In the same year he was appointed professor and started teaching at Nankai University.
Yang held up to the age of 86 years lectures and translated is also provided in the following years in English, economics literature into Chinese .
