Yaroslav Ivanenko

Yaroslav Ivanenko ( Ukrainian Ярослав Іваненко Jaroslaw Iwanenko ; * 1975 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian dancer , choreographer and ballet director .

Yaroslav Ivanenko was born in Kiev and trained there at the National Conservatory of Arts . After graduating, he worked at the national theater there. Engagements in the Czech Republic and Slovakia followed . From 1998 he was engaged at the Hamburg Ballet and was seen there in numerous solo parts until the end of 2010. During this time he began to work as a choreographer.

Yaroslav Ivanenko has been ballet director and chief choreographer at Theater Kiel since the end of the 2011/2012 season . He is married to the long-time star ballerina of the Hamburg Ballet Heather Jurgensen , who together with him, as deputy ballet director, directs the ballet at the Kiel Theater.
