Yassin Adnan

Yassin Adnan (* 1970 in Safi , Kingdom of Morocco ) is a Moroccan journalist and author .

Life

Adnan has grown since he was three years in Marrakech near the bazaar history Djemaa el Fna on which to since 2001 Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO belongs. He studied English literature and education at the Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech and at the Mohammed V University in Rabat. He then worked as an English teacher and was responsible for the weekly cultural program Macharif on Moroccan television. In 2007 and 2008 it was named the best cultural program in the country.

Today, Adnan works as a presenter on the first program of Moroccan television and has had interlocutors such as the Syrian Adonis , the storyteller Mohammed Bariz and the literary scholar Isa Bouhmala in his weekly series since 2008 .

Since 2000 Adnan has published a number of volumes of poetry, novellas and a book about the city of Marrakech, where he still lives today. He works for his country's radio, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar , the magazine Dubai Al-Thaqafiya and is a member of the editorial team of the Lebanese cultural magazine Zawaya . He is also co-editor of the literary magazine Aswat mu'asira and the magazine Al-GHara al-shi'riyya .
