Yasuha Matsuyuki

Yasuha Matsuyuki ( Japanese 松 雪 泰 葉 , Matsuyuki Yasuha ; born November 5, 1999 ) is a Japanese wrestler. In 2017 she became U23 world champion in the weight class up to 75 kg.

Her sister is the wrestler Naruha Matsuyuki .

Career

Yasuha Matsuyuki was introduced to wrestling through play as a three-year-old girl. After several tournaments in the primary school sector, the successful coach of the Japanese women's wrestling team Kazuhito Sakae noticed her in 2014 and prompted her to move to the wrestling club of Shigakukan High School in Tokyo . There she was systematically trained to become a top wrestler. At a height of 1.72 meters, she has been wrestling in the heaviest weight class, which has its weight limit of 75 kg, since the 2017 season.

At the first international championship in which she took part, the Asian Junior Championship for the age group "Cadets" (up to 16 years of age), she took 3rd place in 2015 in New Delhi . 2016 she was in Tbilisi Junior World Champion in the age group "Juniors" (18 years) before Aiperi Medet Kizi , Kyrgyzstan and Kamile Gaucaite, Lithuania.

At the age of less than 17, Yasuha Matsuyuki was able to prove himself in February 2017 at the renowned women's tournament, the Ladies Open in Klippan, Sweden, in the weight class up to 75 kg. She had two wins there, but lost to Alena Starodubzewa from Russia and the 2016 Olympic champion Erica Wiebe from Canada and came in 5th. At the Junior World Championships for the Juniors age group in Tampere , Finland , she reached the final battle in which she faced Aiperi Medet Kizi. At the end of the fight it was 8: 8, but the winner was Aiperi Medet Kizi due to the last ranking. Yasuha Matsuyuki had to be content with 2nd place.

In November 2017, Yasuha Matsuyuki achieved the greatest success of her career so far. In Bydgoszcz she became the 18-year-old world champion in the U 23 age group in the weight class up to 75 kg. On the way to this success she defeated Francy Rädelt , Germany , Nomin Erdene Purvee, Mongolia, Mabelkis Capote Perez, Cuba and Gracelyn Doogan from Canada. They all had no chance against her.
