Yasutsune Uehara
Yasutsune Uehara ( Jap. 上原康恒 , Uehara Yasutsune * 12. October 1949 in Naha , Okinawa Prefecture , Japan ) is a former Japanese boxer in the super featherweight and left arm .
Career
On November 14, he made his professional debut against the American Sam Fraticelli in Hawaii with a technical knockout victory in round 4 in a fight scheduled for 6 rounds. His second fight, which was also scheduled for 6 rounds, he lost against the Philippines Mar Yuzon unanimously on points.
On August 2, 1980, he defeated the Puerto Rican Samuel Serrano in a 15 round fight by classic knockout in round 6. His first and at the same time only title defense took place in November of the same year against the Venezuelan Leonel Hernandez . On April 9 of the following year he lost the title in the rematch against Serrano by unanimous decision. After this bankruptcy, he ended his career.
