Yasuyuki Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 康 之 , Satō Yasuyuki ; born April 12, 1966 in Hiroshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Satō learned to play soccer on the school team at Sanyo High School . He signed his first contract with Mazda in 1985 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 2. 1985/86 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and rose to Division 1. In 1987 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . At the end of the 1987/88 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 1990/91 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and was promoted to Division 1. With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, the Mazda became Sanfrecce Hiroshima. In 1994 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club . In 1995 and 1996 he reached the final of the Kaiser Cup . For the club he completed 147 first division games. In 1997 he moved to the second division Oita Trinity . For the club he completed 23 games. At the end of 1997 he ended his career as a football player.
