The Yavuz Selim Stadı is a football stadium in Trabzon . The stadium is named after Selim I , the ninth sultan of the Ottoman Empire , and is located right next to the Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadı , the home of Trabzonspor .

history

Many Trabzon amateur clubs use the stadium. In the past, many players made the leap to Trabzonspor. In 2007 the natural turf was replaced by artificial turf and the grandstand, which consists entirely of seats and is covered, was renovated. Further renovations are planned in the future.

In the recent past, the stadium has also been used more and more by professional teams, so 1461 Trabzon and Düzyurtspor currently play alternately and with interruptions in the stadium.
