The Yeates Bluff is a steep, icy and mainly at the northern end of a 1,190 m high mountain peaks over ragtes cliff at the Shackleton Coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain , it is 6 km northeast of Mount Nickerson between the Lennox King and Beaver glaciers .
Participants in a campaign of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition carried out from 1959 to 1960 named it after Peter Alexander Yeates, who worked as a radio operator at Scott Base in 1958 and during this campaign .
