Mount Nickerson is a 1480 m high and massive mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain, it rises 6 km southwest of Yeates Bluff between the Lennox King and Beaver glaciers .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Norval Eugene Nickerson (1920-2006) of the United States Navy , commander of the USS Edisto in Operation Deep Freeze in 1965.
