Yellow Cap is a German Ska and Rocksteady band.

Band history

Yellow Cap was founded in Görlitz in 1998. In 2004 her first album was released under the title Doesn't matter . In the following years the albums LIVE! (2005) and Up to explode (2007) as well as the debut with John Silver Verlag. In 2010, the fourth album Like It Or Not was released by the German scale label Pork Pie and received more attention. With the 2014 album Pleasure , which was also released on vinyl for the first time, new notes were struck with more rock steady rhythms parallel to the line-up on bass, guitar and saxophone. However, Yellow Cap sees itself primarily as a live band. Tours through Germany, Switzerland, Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe as well as three times through Brazil, financed in 2015 by the Goethe-Institut , have met enthusiastic audiences for years. Yellow Cap is one of the most important Skabands in Eastern Germany.
