Yeong E. Kim

Yeong E. Kim is an American physicist and professor of physics at Purdue University . There he is executive director of the Purdue Center for Sensing Science and Technology .

His main field of work is theoretical nuclear physics . He is the author of numerous scientific publications in the fields of solid state physics , atomic physics , nuclear fusion and quantum physics , among others .

Career

He received a BS from Lincoln Memorial University in 1959 and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley . He held various research positions at Bell Telephone Laboratories , Oak Ridge National Laboratory , Purdue University and Los Alamos National Laboratory , among others .

Kim was appointed professor at Purdue University in 1977. Since 2001 he has been executive director of the Purdue Center for Sensing Science and Technology at Purdue University.

Kim is the author of over 200 publications with peer review , including in the European Physical Journal , Journal of Physics B , Physical Review A , Physical Review C , Japanese Journal of Applied Physics and Physics Letters A .
