Oliver Lazarus
Oliver James Lazarus (born October 26, 1987 in Swaziland ) is a South African show jumper .
Career
At the age of six, Lazarus rode the first hunt. In the early years of his career he trained under Trevor Lovgren , Jane Sheppard and Damien Stevens . During a stay in England he won the “Star of the Future” award (for riders under 16) in Staffordshire, UK, and rode in Windsor at the prestigious Festival of Show Jumping . After returning to South Africa, Lazarus won the JB championships at the BOE Cape Horse Show in Constantia . In 2005 Oliver Lazarus got a celebrity riding lesson from Marcus Ehning and Ludger Beerbaum as part of the German Friendships .
After finishing school, Oliver went to the stable of the British show jumper David McPherson for a year . At the end of September 2006 he moved to Riesenbeck, originally for two months of training, in Ludger Beerbaum's stable , but he was so impressed by Lazarus' riding skills that he hired the then 19-year-old as a rider. At the beginning of 2009 Oliver Lazarus went to Denis Lynch's stable , but returned to Riesenbeck after only two months. At the beginning of 2010 he moved to the stable of national coach Otto Becker . A few months later he set out on the plant by Claudia Kirchhoff in Rosendahl independently . He stayed here for almost two years and returned to Ludger Beerbaum in January 2012. From September 2013 to December 2014 he worked in Lohmar, where he was employed in Jochen Scherer's stable. In 2015 he started his own business.
Private
Lazarus, who rides for South Africa, has both a South African and a British passport. On November 26, 2012, his girlfriend gave birth to a son in Växjö .
