action

The series is about Greg ( Anthony Clark ) and Kim ( Jean Louisa Kelly ) who became parents for the first time. But there are a lot of problems: the proud father wants to make a career, which Kim doesn't like. So there are always conflicts between the two. Her sister Christine ( Liza Snyder ) is always there, and she calms down again and again. Meanwhile, Greg has to deal with his brother-in-law Jimmy ( Mike O'Malley ), who wants to convince him of his way of life. He is unemployed and lives through the day, which in turn doesn't quite suit the two sisters.

Story / background

The plot, and the fact that the actors previously had their own series, which did not become successful, made critics doubt the series' success. Nevertheless, the first four seasons brought decent ratings. For the fifth season, only thirteen episodes were ordered, which were only broadcast in the midseason (from February, instead of September) at a changed slot. Nevertheless, they delivered acceptable ratings and the series was then extended for a sixth season. This started again regularly in September and should ultimately include around 22 episodes again.
