Yoann Kongolo (born September 11, 1987 in Lausanne , Switzerland ) is a former Swiss kickboxer , muay thai fighter , karateka and current unbeaten professional boxer .
Boxing career
Kongolo made his professional debut against Thomas NGassam on November 21, 2014 at the age of 27 without having completed a fight with the amateurs and won by majority decision over 4 rounds.
In August 2017 he competed against the previously undefeated Russian Salambek Baysangurov for the vacant WBC silver title and also won here by majority decision. In November of the same year he also won the EBU-EE belt when he defeated Enes Zecirevic in a 12-round fight by unanimous decision.
At the end of January 2018, Kongolo defended his WBC silver title by beating the Latvian Andrejs Pokumeiko on points.
