Yolaine de Courson

Yolaine de Courson (born July 14, 1954 ) is a French politician . She has been a member of the French National Assembly for the 4th constituency of the Département Côte-d'Or since the 2017 parliamentary election . She was elected for the La République en Marche party, which she left in May 2020. She is one of the 17 founding members of the Ècologie Democratie Solidarité group .

Political career

De Courson did not enter politics until the age of 63 after retiring from business life.

In the National Assembly she is a member of the Committee on Sustainable Development and the Committee on European Affairs. She is also a member of the parliamentary groups for friendship with Spain and Iran . Since 2019 she has been a member of the French delegation to the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly .

De Courson has been a member of the French delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 2017 . There she works on the Committee on Social Issues, Health and Sustainable Development, the Subcommittee on Children's Issues and the Subcommittee on the European Social Charter .

Political positions

In July 2019, de Courson deviated from the position of the majority of her group. She was one of 52 members of the LREM group who abstained from the ratification of the agreement between the European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and Canada .
