Veronika Heine

Veronika Heine (born September 8, 1986 in Vienna ) is an Austrian table tennis player . From 2003 to 2008 she took part in three European and three World Championships as well as the 2008 Olympic Games .

Career

Veronika Heine is the daughter of the Austrian national player Günter Heine . She began her career at the ASKÖ Erdgas Linz-Froschberg association (later ASKÖ Linz-Froschberg and Linz AG Froschberg), with whom she competed in the European super league from 2001 to 2008 . In 2009 she moved to SVS Lower Austria .

Veronika Heine represented Austria at the European Championships in 2003 , 2005 and 2007 as well as at the World Championships in 2004 , 2007 and 2008 , but never came close to medal ranks. She also took part in the team competition at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Since July 2005 she has been employed as a contract soldier in the Austrian Armed Forces.
