location
The amusement park, which opened in 1964 and has expanded several times since then, is located in the southern part of the Tama Hills , near the private Nihon Joshi Daigaku University . It can be reached via two train stations: Yomiuriland-mae on the Odakyū Odawara Line and Keiō-Yomiuri-Land on the Keiō Sagamihara Line . The Sky Shuttle , a gondola lift with eight-person cabins, overcomes a height difference of 44 meters over a length of 883 meters , leads to the latter .
Attractions
There are more than 40 rides in Yomiuriland, divided into seven thematic areas. These include a ferris wheel and a roller coaster called Bandit , which at the time of its commissioning in 1988 was considered the highest and fastest system in the world.
