Yoshihiro Satō

Yoshihiro Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 嘉 洋 , Satō Yoshihiro ; born January 25, 1981 in Nagoya , Aichi Prefecture ) is a Japanese kickboxer and K-1 fighter . He is Thai boxing world champion and two-time K-1 Japanese champion (2006 and 2007).

Satō began kickboxing training in 1996 at the age of 15. In 1996 and 1997 he won the Glove Karate Championships. In 1998 he started his professional career. He had his first fight overseas on November 23, 2001 in Germany . Satō defeated Milan Stević in this fight by knockout and was thus Muay Thai welterweight world champion of the WKA association. In 2005 he moved to the K-1. He fights for the fullcast team, Nagoya JK Factory. Of his 52 fights he won 40, of which 18 by (T-) KO.
