Yoshioka Takayoshi

Yoshioka Takayoshi ( Japanese 吉岡 隆 徳 ; born June 2, 1909 in Nishihama (today: Izumo ), Shimane Prefecture ; † May 5, 1984 in Fuchū , Tokyo Prefecture ) was a Japanese sprinter .

At the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was sixth over 100 m and fifth in the 4-by-100-meter relay . He reached the quarter-finals over 200 m .

On June 15, 1935 in Tokyo and on July 6, 1935 in Osaka , he set the world record over 100 m with 10.3 s .

At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, he was eliminated over 100 m in the quarter-finals and in the 4-by-100-meter relay in the preliminary run.

He was six times Japanese champion over 100 m (1931, 1932, 1935, 1938-1940).
