You Do quickly became popular after the film was released and was covered by various stars of the time. In the year of publication, four out of five recorded cover versions were in the top ten of the charts. The song was recorded in 1947 by Dinah Shore , Vaughn Monroe , Margaret Whiting , Vic Damone and Bing Crosby, among others . Even Doris Day sang it in the charts, but did not publish its own shot.
