youbloom is an association of artists, musicians and talent scouts dedicated to the discovery and development of newcomers and their music as part of the youbloom Music Awards .

Company and philosophy

youbloom plc was founded in Ireland in September 2009 . It stands for creativity, quality, compassion, fun and fair opportunities for artists and fans. The company's focus is on the internet discovery and development of artists through the youbloom Music Awards. Offline activities, such as the youbloom Music Awards LIVE, are carried out by partners.

Founder Phil Harrington, a seasoned entrepreneur and musician, sits at the head of an incomparable team of several respected music industry professionals who have the experience, knowledge and imagination to make youbloom a success. The core team includes: Nigel Grainge ( Sinéad O'Connor , The Boomtown Rats , Thin Lizzy ), Rupert Hine (Producer & Songwriter including Tina Turner , Stevie Nicks , Wilson Phillips ), Mike Bone (former President of Merkur, Chrysalis and Insel Records in USA), Jeff Stewart (CEO, New World Music), Ted Cummings (headed the advertising department of a major label for over 20 years) and Jochen Wilms (former Vice President of Marketing at BMG ). These industry experts make a significant contribution to the marketing strategy and design of the youbloom platform. With technicians in Ireland and the US and a marketing team with members in the UK, US, Europe and South America, youbloom is ready to take full advantage of its unique position in the music industry.

Music Awards

Participation in the youbloom Music Awards is free. Fans vote in 24 weekly rounds, three small and one big finals at the end of the year. The jury includes Bob Geldof , Conor McNicholas (NME), Sarah Lewitinn aka Ultragrrrl ( My Chemical Romance ), Nigel Grainge ( Sinéad O'Connor ) and Rupert Hine ( Rush ). They come together four times a year to listen to and rate the songs.

A&R

youbloom's A&R committee is currently evaluating all submitted songs and developing artists in collaboration with publishers, labels and those responsible for film and TV music.

successes

"The Guilty Ones", a London band , youbloom winners in 2010, were signed to BMG Chrysalis in 2011 through Rupert Hine's company Auditorious. They were discovered at a youbloom Music Awards LIVE event.

Music Awards LIVE

The youbloom Music Awards LIVE program began in October 2010 in London in partnership with the experienced concert promoter Micky Pallant (aka MickyP). LIVE events are held regularly in and around London. youbloom is currently recruiting promoters from other cities around the world where artists are participating in the youbloom Music Awards.
