Sandra Gobar, Curator of the Arts Club of Washington, said: “ Her palette, once on the canvas, is reminiscent of more than a Zen-like experience. She beautifully mesmerizes you with her painfully poetic conversation she engages you in, and invites you into the conversation as well when you look at herwork. ”( Sandra Gobar , German:“ Her painting, once it is on the canvas, is more reminiscent of a Zen-like experience. It fascinates you in a wonderful way with its painfully poetic confrontation, it draws you in and also invites you into the argument while you look at their work. ")

Her painting Peace was featured in the Pursuing Justice Through Art exhibition presented by the Whistler House Museum of Art in 2015 .

Her painting Dialogue between History and Modern I won the WCA national Featured Member Artist Competition in 2008 .

Her works Dialogue between History and Modern II and Peace III won first place and an honorable mention at the 2013 exhibition People, Faces, and Figures at the Leading Artists Gallery . Judge Maud Taber-Thomas said: “This piece is really beautiful in the way that the letters of the writing take on life and personality and take part in the general movement of the piece. The letters become active 'characters' in the dramatic composition and create in reverse the evolution from images to pictograms to symbols that led to today's writing. The unusual composition and the careful use of delicate colors make it an extremely special piece. "

Her paintings have been shown in international solo exhibitions at the Espace Richelieu in Paris, France, the L'Essence Art Gallery in Boston, USA, the Cultural Exchange Center in Boston, USA and at the Dr. Exhibited at the Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in British Columbia, Canada.

Articles by two French art historians and several Chinese journalists have been compiled with pictures of Yang in a book entitled Youxin Yang, MD, Ph.D .: An Artist and Scientist .
