Yūki Kobayashi ( Japanese 小林 祐希 , Kobayashi Yūki ; born April 24, 1992 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kobayashi comes from the youth of the Tokyo Verdy club , which was playing in the second-class J2 League at the time. In July 2012, Kobayashi's move to first division club Júbilo Iwata was announced. The move to SC Heerenveen followed in August 2016 . His contract there ran in the summer of 2019 without initially having a successor contract.

It was only in September 2019 that he signed a two-year contract with the Belgian first division company Waasland-Beveren .

National team

In 2016, Kobayashi made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . He was not part of the squad either at the 2018 World Cup , the 2019 Asian Cup or the 2019 Copa America , in which the Japanese national team participated as a guest. However, he played in four friendlies in 2019. Kobayashi has so far played eight international matches for Japan.
