Yun Dae-nyong (born May 1, 1962 in Yesan in South Ch'ungch'ŏng Province ) is a South Korean writer .
Life
Yun Dae-nyong was born in Yesan in 1962. He was the only son and had three sisters. He first lived with his grandparents and came to live with his parents in 1970, who had started a new household in Onyang . By the time he finished elementary school, he had changed schools several times because his father was constantly moving around. He spent his childhood in poverty. He began to read a lot at an early age. After completing his French studies, he worked for various publishing houses and in the press office of a company. When he wasn't planning or correcting books, he wrote short stories in his spare time. His novel Ayu-Angling Communication was published in 1994 , at a time when ideologies and totalitarianism were a thing of the past in Korea and instead existence and the individual had come to the fore as topics in Korean literature. This novel made him an icon of Korean literature in the 1990s.
