Yun Seon-do ( Korean 윤선도 ) (* 1587 in Seoul ; † 1671 ) was a Korean poet and artist . He used the pseudonyms Gosan ( 고산 ; 孤山 ) and Hae-ong ( 해옹 ; 海 翁 ).
Yun Seondo's most famous work is The Anglers Calendar , a cycle of 40 Sijos . The work is the largest and most famous cycle of the classical period.
He spent his long retirement on the island of Bogildo , about which many of his poems are about.
