Yūsuke Gotō ( Japanese 後 藤 優 介 ; born April 23, 1993 in Kanoya , Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Yūsuke Gotō learned to play football in the youth team of Ōita Trinita . Here he also signed his first professional contract in 2012. The club from Ōita played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . From July 2012 to January 2013 he was loaned to HOYO AC ELAN Ōita . With the club from Yufu he played nine games in the Japan Football League , the fourth division in the country. After the loan, he returned to Trinita in 2013. In the meantime, the club made it to the top division in 2012. At the end of 2013 he had to return to the second class with the club. In 2014 he played twice in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. In 2015 he was relegated to the J3 League with the club. In 2016 he became champions of the third division with the club and rose straight back to the second division. As runners-up in the second division in 2018, he rose to the first division. In total, he completed 139 games for Ōita. In 2020 he was signed by the first division club Shimizu S-Pulse from Shimizu .
