Nakamura took part in the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships several times . However, he was denied winning a medal. His best results were a sixth place in 2015 in Almaty in the team competition with Yoshihiro Kimura, Hisaki Nagamine and Ryota Yamamoto as well as a fourth place in 2017 in Soldier Hollow in the Gundersen competition on the normal hill with a subsequent cross-country distance of five kilometers. He had made his debut in the Nordic Combined Continental Cup on March 5, 2016 in Chaux-Neuve , France , where he finished 23rd. His best result so far in this competition series was twelfth place a week later in Klingenthal . The first start in the World Cup took place on February 10, 2017 with a 38th place in the Gundersen competition in Sapporo . The second competition was almost a year long in coming. On February 4, 2018, he achieved 18th place in Hakuba and thus for the first time a place in the points. He completed his last competition so far in March 2018.
For the 2019/20 season, Nakamura switched to special jumping. On his debut in the Continental Cup at the end of August 2019, he immediately won his first point, but was not used for the rest of the season.
