Yutou

Yutou ( Chinese  屿 头 乡 , Pinyin Yǔtóu Xiāng ) is a community in Pingtan County in Fuzhou City in Fujian Province, southeast China . The community has an area of ​​15.3 km², which is spread over seven islands and over 40 reefs. At the end of 2004 it had a total of around 16,000 inhabitants. Yutou is located in the northwest of the Haitan Strait, where the boundaries of the city of Changle and the counties of Fuqing and Pingtan meet in the sea.

A famous archaeological find, the Chinese shipwreck named " Wanjiao No. 1 " was discovered near the Wanjiao Reef in the Yutous administrative area.
