Yvonne Musik (born December 21, 1985 in Hamburg ) is a former German gymnast . She is multiple German champion and took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics for Germany .
Career
Yvonne Musik, who was discovered by Willfried Lahrs , first appeared internationally at the 2003 World Gymnastics Championships in the US city of Anaheim . With the team she finished 13th in qualification, which means they missed the final in the team competition. She also took part in the 2004 European Gymnastics Championships in Amsterdam . While she took 19th place in the individual all-around competition , she was eighth in the jumping competition .
She qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens at the age of 18 and was nominated by the DOSB . In qualifying, she missed the leap into the finals in all possible competitions. With the 45th place in the qualification, she achieved her best Olympic result in the individual all-around competition. One year after the Olympic Games, the German national coach Ulla Koch announced that both Yvonne Musik and Birgit Schweigert would end their international gymnastics careers.
