The Zürcher Studierendenzeitung (ZS) is a student newspaper published in Zurich . It appears since 1923 (initially as Zurich student , from 1981 zürcher student / in, from 1993 zürcher student) , making it the oldest continuously published student newspaper in Switzerland. Her best-known authors include Max Frisch and Kurt Tucholsky or later Constantin Seibt and Ruedi Widmer . Max Frisch published his first prose text in the "Zürcher Student" in April 1932.
From 1930 to 1933, the newspaper, under the direction of Robert Tobler, was frontist, from 1968 onwards it was politically left. In 2007 the newspaper was relaunched with a new orientation, higher circulation and financing through advertisements. In 2012, the ZS received the Pro-Campus-Press-Award as the best German-language student newspaper . Because she wants to maintain her independence, there are regular financing problems.
