Zero Skateboards is an American company that mainly manufactures decks and wheels for skateboards . The company also produces clothing inspired by skateboarding .

The company was founded in 1996 by professional skater Jamie Thomas and is headquartered in Carlsbad, California .

history

The Zero brand was originally a clothing company that was founded in 1996 and later evolved into a skateboard company. Thomas left Toy Machine and became Zero's first professional team driver.

In early 2003, Thomas opened a factory in Tijuana , Mexico called "Edieth and Osuna" to manufacture the Black Box brands' skateboard decks. Zero Team rider Chris Cole was a shareholder in the company from 2011 to 2014 .

The company has released seven videos, with the premiere of the newest release, Cold War, on November 8, 2013. The premiere was held at the La Paloma Theater in Encinitas , California , and Thomas invited all past and current Zero drivers. A 40-minute video was shown on stage.

In an interview in June 2014, Thomas stated that the skateboard company Dwindle Distribution, which is responsible for the Enjoi, Blind Skateboards, Almost Skateboards, Darkstar and Cliché Skateboards brands, "covers the sales, finance, production and distribution" aspects of the Zero brand will take over. Thomas further stated that Zero employees will remain independent and will focus on the "team, marketing and creative aspects" of the brand. Zero celebrated its 20th anniversary with a photo art show in June 2016.
