Lists on the subject

The ZH-29 is a self-loading rifle made by the Czech weapons designer Václav Holek in 7.92 × 57 mm . It was developed in Czechoslovakia for China in the late 1920s and produced in small series from 1929 to 1938. The break-up of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany put an end to production.

technology

The ZH-29 is a gas pressure charger with a tilting block lock that locks in the left side of the lock housing. It consists mainly of milled parts, which made the weapon heavy and expensive to manufacture. The magazines were with those of the IMG ZB vz. 26 interchangeable or identical. The extractor is available twice, which was later adopted for the German Gewehr 43 . The system was later used for the 44 assault rifle .
