Zababda ( Arabic الزبابدة, DMG az-Zabābda , Hebrew א-זבאבדה, also Zababdeh ) is a place in the Palestinian Autonomous Territories , around eight kilometers south of the city of Jenin . It is located in the West Bank and has around 3,700 inhabitants (2007) on an area of ​​5.7 km². About half of the population are Christians (mainly Catholic and Orthodox), the other half are Muslim . There are a total of five churches in the village.

Surrounded by olive grove hills , the residents mainly practice agriculture . The fellow citizens staying abroad transfer large sums to keep the city alive. A famous son of this city is Samer Odeh . He has written a book on the Palestinian tradition of reading coffee grounds .
