List of apple varieties |
The Zabergäurette (also Zabergäu or Hausener Graue Renette ) is an apple variety that got its name from Zabergäu . It originated in 1885 in Hausen an der Zaber as a chance seedling .
description
The mostly large to very large fruits are flat. As with many reindeer , the skin is leathery and green, and also reddish on the sunny side, but this is usually not visible due to very strong russeting . The color usually changes to yellow in the warehouse.
The fruits, which ripen in October, are suitable both as table apples and for cooking, baking or must. The fruits can be kept until March, but then become friable and dry. The fruits are less acidic than those of the beautiful one from Boskoop .
tree
The tree is hardly prone to scab , but tends to alternate and speck . Warmer locations with good soils are to be used as the location.
Since this strain is triploid , it is unsuitable as a pollen donor.
