Club career

Zaine Francis-Angol began his career at Tottenham Hotspur in his hometown of London at the age of nine . From there he moved in July 2011 to Motherwell FC in their youth. Thanks to his good performance in the Steelmen's U-20 team , Francis-Angol, who can play both in defense and midfield, got his first professional contract at the beginning of the 2012/13 season . He made his professional debut in August 2012 in the third qualifying round of the Champions League against Panathinaikos Athens when he came into the game for Adam Cummins . He made his debut in the Scottish Premier League in the away game against FC Kilmarnock .

Since 2015 he has played for various lower-class clubs in England. Kidderminster Harriers , AFC Fylde and currently third division Accrington Stanley were his other stations.

National team

Due to the fact that the mother of Zaine Francis-Angol comes from Antigua and Barbuda , the native Englishman was appointed to the national team of the Caribbean Islands in August 2012 . Under national coach Benjamin Rowan , Francis-Angol made his debut in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup against Guatemala in Guatemala City , in the 1: 3 defeat he was replaced by Moses Ashikodi after 81 minutes of play . He made his second appearance in the national jersey in the second leg against Guatemala at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium at home , where he was used for the entire 90 minutes, but he and his team could not avoid the 1-0 defeat against the favorites.
