Zambia Bata Shoe Company is a public company in Lusaka . It is owned by Bata Shoe Company International and managed by Bata Asia Pacific-Africa based in Singapore. It is quoted on the stock exchange ( Lusaka Stock Exchange ), i.e. not traded. It is based in Lusaka.

The company was founded in 1937 and produces a variety of shoes, but not sneakers. The product range extends from leather shoes to plastic sandals for the domestic market and for export. About 300 people are employed. Annual sales in 2006 were US $ 5.7 million

The company has offices in Petauke , Mongu and Kasama .

Bata operated the largest tannery in Zambia , 50 kilometers from Lusaka, in the Kafue district . It was sold to the DarFarms Group, which operates various companies in the processing of agricultural products and in the transport sector.
