Pivot wheelchair
A Pivot burnishing chair (also Pivot burnishing device ) is a device from the watchmaking that the smoothing and polishing of pin is used for. B. in shafts of wheels and drives .
properties
The polish reduces the frictional resistance of a pin in the jewel, thus extending the power reserve and improving the watch's performance. Due to the accumulation of dirt in the movement and the aging of the watch oil , the pins are partially abraded and provided with grooves .
Minor damage to the tenons can be removed with the pin wheelchair. The polish in the tenon roller wheel chair brings a tenon into a smaller, but round and smooth shape. Due to the material removal during roller burnishing, a bearing block with a smaller hole may be required later.
principle
The pin roller chair consists of a main roller tool and various attachments ( brooches ) and can be driven with a bow by hand or with a motor . The end of the shaft of a gear wheel opposite the journal to be machined is clamped into the main roller-wheeling device. The pin to be processed is placed in a brooch as a holder, the recess of which is smaller than the final diameter of the pin after polishing. The final diameter of the pin is determined with a polishing wheel and a micrometer. In the case of a motor-driven tenon roller wheel chair, the wheel and the polishing wheel turn in opposite directions, while in manual operation the polishing file (synonymous with roller burnishing file ) is used stationary or with a to-and-fro movement.
