The Zappert Point is a headland on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . In the Vestfold Mountains , it is located at the southwestern end of the Langnes Peninsula . In the immediate vicinity there is a large breeding colony of Adelie penguins .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1973 after Michael D. Zappert, radio supervisor at Davis Station in the Antarctic winter of 1970.
