Lists on the subject |
The Zastava M21 is an assault rifle from the Serbian company Zastava Oružje . The weapon is based on the technology of the AK-47 .
In 2004 the M21 rifle was introduced as the successor to the Zastava M70 / M77 / M90 assault rifles.
The assault rifle has u. a. Parts made of polymer (pistons, handles, magazines) and a barrel alloyed with chrome . It has Picatinny rails for attaching various telescopic sights or night vision devices . Furthermore, a GP-25 grenade launcher with a caliber of 40 mm can be attached under the barrel.
After initial tests in the armed forces of Serbia , the M21S appeared. The M21S has a shorter barrel and thus a shorter overall length, but retained the same ballistic properties due to the new polygon barrel and is now primarily offered (as an export version M21SB). The version M21A is designed for command tasks.
