The Zastava M90 is an assault rifle made by the Serbian company Zastava oružje . The weapon is based on the technology of the AK-47 assault rifle .
In addition to the main version, there are the following versions:
- M90 - light machine gun with a longer barrel
- M85 - submachine gun version .
In accordance with the Yugoslav military doctrine with equipment from the West and the East, Zastava developed the two M90 versions from the M70 as well as the M85 submachine gun in caliber 5.56 × 45 mm NATO .
