Zdeněk Gurský
Zdeněk Gurský (born October 6, 1954 in Kyjov ) is a Czech musician and composer . He is the leader of the Gloria marching band .
Life
At the age of twelve, Zdeněk Gurský received his first trumpet lessons from pedagogue Josef Frýbort . At the age of 18 he founded a dance band in which he played the guitar as well as the trumpet. In 1973 he joined the Mistříňanka brass band, which was already well known at the time . He played there for twenty years. In 1993, together with other colleagues, he brought the music publisher Gloria to life. A year later, the Gloria brass band was founded as a publishing band . Gurský has now composed over 700 works that are published by the Gloria music publisher.
Private
Zdeněk Gurský is married to his wife Miluška, who is responsible for the chapel's lyrics. Gurský also has a daughter, Sylvie. In 2006 she took over the stage moderation at the concerts with her knowledge of German.
