Zdeněk Koudelka

Zdeněk Koudelka (born May 9, 1969 in Boskovice ) is a Czech lawyer and politician of the ČSSD .

Life

Koudelka studied at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno . At the Chair of Constitutional Law and Political Science there, he worked as an assistant from 1992, as a senior assistant from 1996 and as a lecturer since 2009. From 1994 to 1995 he was also senior assistant at the Department of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Aviation and Air Defense at the Brno Military Academy . Between 1992 and 1994, Koudelka was the deputy mayor of Brno-Jundrov.

From 1993 to 1996 he worked as a trainee lawyer in Petr Mrkývka's office and from 1996 to 2006 he was a lawyer. Between 1998 and 2006 he was a member of the Czech Parliament . In April 2006, Koudelka resigned and was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of the Czech Republic. He held this office until 2011. From 2011 to 2013 he worked as the deputy director of the Judicial Academy in Kroměříž . From 2014 to 2018 he was rector of the Karel Engliš University in Brűnn.

From 2010 to 2014 Koudelka was a member of the editorial board of the Journal on Legal and Economic Issues of Central Europe , from 2010 to 2012 of the Journal of Criminal Law and Public Prosecution, from 2011 to 2018 of the Journal Pro Bono Publico and since 2012 a member of the editorial board for the Russian Law journal.

He is a member of the Moravian ethnic group .
