The Christine Zeche is a former hard coal mine in Dortmund-Hacheney . The mine was also known as Zeche Christina , Zeche Christine I and II or Zeche Christiane . The rightful place was near today's zoo .

history

The beginnings

In the mining area of the coal mine of the 18th century was already in the second half tunneling operated. The Christine colliery was in operation in 1754, but deadlines were set in the following year . In the years 1755, 1758, 1759, 1766 and 1769 the mine was demonstrably in operation. After a period of standstill of a few years, the mine was back in operation in 1786; the coal was delivered to the saltworks in Unna-Königsborn . In 1796, together with the coal mine nice dent the tunnel driving resumed. In 1800 the Friedrich and Wegeschacht shafts were in operation.

The following years until the consolidation

In 1805 there was a further advance in the tunnel , the extraction took place via the Gottfried, Henderich and Hope shafts. In 1809 it was partially merged into the United Christine & St. Moritz mine. In 1810 the Ernst shaft was in operation. In March of the same year, operations ceased and only repairs were carried out. In December 1828 it was restarted. In 1830, the Wilhelm and Friedrich shafts and light hole  5 were in operation. The production capacity was 6400 Prussian tons per year. From July 1832, the mine was again set deadlines. Already before 1840, the consolidation with the Schöndelle colliery to form the United Christine & Schöndelle colliery took place . On November 2, 1841, the company was consolidated into the Crone colliery .
