Hacheney is the statistical district 52 and at the same time a southern part of the city of Dortmund . It is located in the Hörde district .
history
Hacheney has a mining past. In the area of what is now the district there was tunnel mining early on. The civil engineering mines developed from this later:
- Crone colliery
- Kirschbau colliery
- Schondelle colliery
- Jungfer colliery
- French horn colliery
- Colliery luck blessings
In the north of the district, the steelworks was Phoenix-West of Hoesch AG . The former gasometer with the large HOESCH letters still outshines the district.
On May 1, 1922, Hacheney was incorporated into Wellinghofen .

Public facilities
In the west of the district, in the immediate vicinity of the Rombergpark and the Dortmund Zoo, there is a school center with the following facilities:

There is an indoor swimming pool on the border with Hörde and Wellinghofen, which has been operated by the SSC Hörde association since 2003.
Transport links
Hacheney is connected to Dortmund city center via the U 49 tram line of the DSW21 . Bus routes 438, 443 and 447 then start at this terminus.
The federal highway 54 leads through the district with its own exit Dortmund-Hacheney.
In the north of Hacheney there was a station "Hörde-Hacheney" until 1924 on the 1957 disused railway line Dortmund-Süd - Brünninghausen, the former Rheinische Bahn. Today the Phoenix-West industrial park is located there on the site of the former blast furnace plant, more precisely Robert-Schuman-Strasse.
