Neuasseln is a Dortmund district in the south of the Brackel district .

Neuasseln is located on the Kahlenberg (up to 136.4  m above sea level ), a ridge of the Dortmund ridge , south of the Hellweg and the route of the S-Bahn line S 4 on the north side of the federal highway 1 (future federal highway 40 ) between the city districts Brackel and Aplerbeck . Dortmund Airport is within sight .

Unlike the communities on Hellweg, whose existence is documented in various medieval documents , Neuasseln was created in the age of industrialization . Sport, culture and sights

Even the TuS Neuasseln 89 established when "Turn Viktoria agreement in 1889," has its roots in the mining settlement.
