The Kaiserstraßenviertel is located in the city ​​center-east and belongs to the statistical district Kaiserbrunnen. It extends along Kaiserstraße between Hamburger Straße in the east and Ostenhellweg in the west. The southern border forms the railway line of S-Bahn line 4, in the north the quarter is bounded by industrial production facilities of ThyssenKrupp and the Dortmund power plant in Spähenfelde.

history

The district and the quarter are grouped around Kaiserstraße, which marks the eastern course of Ostenhellweg outside the city ramparts. During the industrial boom in the city of Dortmund , the district developed into the preferred residential area for industrialists and entrepreneurs. Representative residential buildings were built around the Kaiserbrunnen.
