Holte-Kreta (also simply Holte ) is a district of Dortmund . The place borders in the north on Bövinghausen , in the east on Lütgendortmund and in the west and south on Bochum . Together with Bövinghausen, it is the westernmost suburb of Dortmund and is located in the district of Lütgendortmund . There it forms the statistical district 731.

The place is one of the smallest districts of Dortmund and is therefore often not viewed as a separate district.

history

Holte-Kreta belonged to the municipality of Dellwig-Holte . This was an independent municipality until it was incorporated into Lütgendortmund, which came into effect on April 1, 1907. On April 1, 1928, Lütgendortmund was incorporated into Dortmund.

House Holte

Today's Hof Haus Holte is closely linked to the history of the place . The farm used to be a mansion for the lower nobility and was used as a fortification to cross the Harpener Hellweg over the Harpener Bach . The mill pond served as the moat in front of the house for the own mill .

Later it belonged to the knight family of Dellwig . In 1904 Haus Holte was sold to Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG .
