Jungferntal is a district in the west of Dortmund and belongs to the Huckarde district .
In 1956 , the Jungferntal settlement, called "Gartenstadt Jungferntal", located directly on the Rahmer Forest , was one of the largest settlement projects in the Dortmund area after the Second World War .
With 5557 inhabitants, Jungferntal is much larger than the neighboring district of Rahm , with which it is often combined because of its proximity.
