Deusen is the statistical district 81 and at the same time a district in the north-west of the city of Dortmund . It lies on both sides of the Emscher . The Dortmund-Ems Canal runs through Deusen , and there are some docks of the Dortmund harbor in the area of ​​the district .

history

Today's Dortmund district of Deusen was first mentioned in a document in 1220 as part of the bailiwick of the Count of Altena-Isenberg . By 1512 at the latest, Deusen belonged to the county of Dortmund , which in turn belonged to the imperial city of Dortmund .
