history

In Eving 1870 began with the depth of the first wells in the coal mines Zeche Minister Stein and mine Prince Hardenberg the transformation to an industrial society. Eving has a good connection to the Dortmund city ​​center with two light rail lines , which are operated by DSW21 . The U41 runs from the Brambauer district of Lüner in Eving on Evinger Straße, Bundesstraße 54 , through Neue Evinger Mitte via the city to the Hörde district of Dortmund . The U42, on the other hand, runs from the Grevel district of Dortmund through Obereving via the city to the Hombruch district . In addition to the light rail lines, seven bus lines operate in Eving, five of which (410, 411, 412, 414, 473) are operated by DSW21.
